What the roof was like
A house under tall evergreens whose shingle roof grew moss every winter and was cleaned twice in five years.
What made it hard
The street is narrow with no room for a dumpster in front, and the lot is wooded, so every panel and every bundle of debris had to be moved by hand along a narrow path.
What we installed, and why
We staged materials at the end of the street, carried panels in short lengths and used roll-formed panels cut on site. The ridge, eaves and gable trims were finished with matching colour flashings.
The result
The owners wanted an end to the moss treatments. Needles slide off the smooth panels, and the plan is a short sweep a few times a year.
